Mideast Overshadows Obama's Prospects

So why didn't they give peace a chance? Why did the leaders of Hamas and Israel not wait for the new U.S. president's inauguration before mutually escalating hostilities? Here was a president-elect chosen, in part, on the expectation that he could enhance prospects for Mideast peace, even if it meant negotiating with people thought to be enemies.
Why not give that approach an opportunity to succeed regarding the future of Palestine? Why not see if Hillary Rodham Clinton, whose husband ...

Due to human psychology and the lopsided political clout pro Israelis have in the U.S., there is zero chance of any real Middle Eastern peace. Any pyschologist will tell you that abused people are most likely to become abusers themselves when given the chance. Given their history of abuse, it's only natural Israelis would lick their lips at the chance to kick some ass for a change; that the Palestinians, a Semitic people are the recipients is just antoher of history's sick jokes. There is no countervailing force to confront the pro Israeli side and since Arabs are so reviled in this country, even before 9-11, there is nothing stopping the present situation from continuing, at least until the American Empire collapses.

Sir;...Israel wants some one to make them stop... But not too soon... Instead, Mr. Obama ought to say nothing, but withhold American aid, and round up and give them the plans to the gas chambers, and crematoriums from the death camps; and suggest, most politely, that this is what the world sees, a mass killing, a genocide, and extermination... If what the Jews do were considered in the light of history it would be thought a feud... But the essentials of any end to the feud are not there... Most people in their situation would trade wives and genes and gradually become the same people, as one might argue they are, as Semites... But they certainly do not seem to know it... So let them kill each other...They only kill themselves...Thanks...Sweeney
