ARIES (March 21-April 19). You've fretted over a situation long enough. You recognize that worry is an indulgence that can't bring any good. You're ready to implement your plan and solve a problem. You can do it.
TAURUS (April 20-May 20). You'll be socializing. Wherever you go, your accomplishments walk into the room with you. Even if the crowd doesn't exactly know what you've done, they sense it and act accordingly.
GEMINI (May 21-June 21). What you wouldn't give for a realization, an undiscovered need -- anything to prove that you're moving right along and getting better as you do it. Ah, but some days are just meant for relaxing and enjoying.
CANCER (June 22-July 22). Your appetite for excitement is insatiable. If you follow the call of the wild, you will be able to get into some pretty exhilarating circumstances. Sagittarius makes a fine traveling partner.
LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). Friendship bonds are increasingly important, especially those bonds that are ordered, uplifting and respectful -- the opposite of the clinging, dramatic and needy relationships you used to attract.
TODAY'S BIRTHDAY (JUNE 1). You're a paradox. You somehow get older yet seem more innocent. Your youthful charm and openness gives you the kind of "babe in the woods" quality that has guides coming out of the woodwork to protect and teach you. Next month brings long overdue remuneration. You celebrate a lucky union in October. Aries and Virgo adore you. Your lucky numbers are: 8, 1, 40, 31 and 33.
VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). You have the rather sophisticated ability to accept people as they are. Find the soft place in your heart that can embrace someone who is wired differently (oh, so differently) from the way you are.
LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23). Your contribution to the community will be vital to the overall tone of a place. Even if your contribution is a simple gesture -- smiling and being pleasant to those you pass on the street, for instance -- it will make a difference.
SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21). Though you know that each person has his or her own path, you still have compassion for the lost souls you encounter. And who knows -- your kind thoughts may be enough of a beacon to illuminate the path home.
SAGITTARIUS (Nov.
CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19). Make a commitment. Instead of restricting, the decision will liberate you. When you know where you're going, you're free to move down the path. When you don't, you're paralyzed with uncertainty.
AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18). You're letting a few of your expectations slide, and wisely so. Better to concentrate on feeling positive and joyful instead of trying to sweat all of the little details that were supposed to create these emotions.
PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20). You'll be privy to the inside scoop -- but wait. This is only the world according to the person who is speaking. There are many different truths in a situation. Your style is to listen without judgment.
FORECAST FOR THE WEEK AHEAD: This week's chatty new moon in Gemini is a master of multiplicity, a spirited sprite, a lover of learning. She's the sixth-grader you know or have known, the child caught in the question of curiosity -- "why?" Why is the sky blue? Why doesn't glue stick to the inside of the bottle? Why do feet smell and noses run? Answering the question definitively isn't the point, but encouraging dialogue, expressing ourselves and asking plenty of questions is. Why? We learn through exchange. With the sun, Mercury and Venus in Gemini, minds are happily nourished in casual conversation, by venturing into unfamiliar territory or reading every book or magazine we can get our hands on. With all this air (intellectual) energy, some of us go borderline mental with too many conflicting thoughts. To really hear what's going on in our heads, we have to stop talking and start listening! That said, eloquent communicators are appreciated, as are those who say it with wit and style. Mercury is still moving backward, so there's a lot of information to work through, evaluate and even toss out. By the way, why is it called "research" when it's about trying to find something new?
CELEBRITY PROFILES: Alanis Morissette is a twinner. Not only is she born under the sign of the twins, she also has a twin brother. And, when you think about it, being embodied as a twin is a convenient way for the double-bodied sign to revel in the dualism of life without having to commit to only one identity -- or even one place. Ironic? Alanis has dual citizenship in Canada and the U.S.
