Horoscopes by Holiday for September 2

The moon continues dancing through Libra. Balance is what we're after and yet nothing in the universe ever hangs in perfect equilibrium. That's why this peace-loving sign measures every step against that of some other person, situation or factor. Libra moon affords us the grace to move through life in equal measure and proportion.

ARIES (March 21-April 19). Your outer world reflects your inner world. You like to keep it in order. You'll finally find a little chunk of extra time to get organized — it's no small task, and you're no small talent.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20). Family responsibilities drive the day. You'll enjoy the time you spend tending to others, and that is reward enough. But there's more. Gestures and tokens of love are coming your way, which you'll gracefully receive.

GEMINI (May 21-June 21). You're known for having the right thing to say and expressing it in the perfect moment. Others may ask you to handle important details. Your memory is excellent and your ability to concentrate is unsurpassed.

CANCER (June 22-July 22). There are things you know, but you don't know why you know them. This knowledge is important, essential and quite loud in your head this afternoon. Of course you should act on it.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). You have the power to move people, except that it doesn't feel anything like power. It just feels like you being natural, honest and vulnerable. There's nothing required of you other than just to be yourself.

TODAY'S BIRTHDAY (SEPTEMBER 2). Your playfulness knows no bounds. A joyful spree raises your energy this month. Romance is the natural byproduct of your zesty approach to life. Your team spirit is rewarded and you'll be put in charge of important projects in November. In January, you get even better at what you do best. Pisces and Capricorn adore you. Your lucky numbers are: 10, 3, 24, 31 and 18.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). Everyone has some mean self-definition they boot down to in moments of insecurity. So when you find yourself internally calling yourself names like a naughty 8-year-old on the playground, know that it's a human thing.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23). The people, things and situations that would be normally seductive to you are now more enticing than ever. It's fine to do some wandering in the areas that interest you; just don't wander in too far.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21). You're so private. You could be a spy if you wanted to be. So it's a rare day that you're willing to give up a secret — someone else's or yours.
But you'll do just that today and be met with rapt interest.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21). Being successful is about timing now and your most successful quality is just that — fabulous timing. You'll be in the right place at the right time by the right person. All you have to do is speak up.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19). Friendship takes work. Be the one to make the first call and the last call. Follow up, no matter what happens to change the dynamic between you and your special people.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18). You don't want to rock the boat. However, it's better not to bottle your feelings up. Express yourself quickly, clearly and briefly. This type of communication sets the stage for many happy hours of together time.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20). Nothing bonds you with loved ones like a big project with an impossible timeline. Share the mission with any and all capable people around you. You'll have funny stories by the end of this quest.

ASTROLOGICAL QUESTIONS: "I've been heartbroken over a Cancer, born 7/20/70. I'd like to know if we'll have another opportunity for love. I hope my Cancer will realize that we are meant to be. My birthday is 10/19/75."

Both of you have Venus in Virgo in your chart(s), and this year Saturn has passed over the respective Venuses. Something difficult needed to be openly acknowledged and fully addressed to move forward as a couple. Did this happen? Saturn brings an uncomfortable level of realism to love, and often it simply comes in the form of one partner's honesty: they're unhappy or feel something lacking in the relationship. If you've already discussed this and reached an impasse together, it may be time to examine how realistic your expectations to get back together really are. If you're meant to have another chance, it will happen because you both want it. I know you're heartbroken, Libra, but remember when we really love another, we just want them to be happy. This is different from wanting him to be with you because it makes you happy. Granted, this may be more enlightenment than you can bear right now. But eventually, it could help you move on.

CELEBRITY PROFILES: Salma Hayek isn't here to relax. With the sun, Jupiter, Pluto and Uranus in productive Virgo, she probably needed one more thing on her plate — so she started a production company. For Virgos who reach for the next highest star, this lifetime isn't about leisure. This year, workhorse Saturn continues imploring Salma and all Virgo born for their dedication to fulfilling a personal aspiration.
