Horoscopes by Holiday for September 29

Do you recognize beauty and truth in all things? If so, you've got the message of today's Libra new moon. This doesn't mean evil or ugliness doesn't exist, but that one opposing reality or perspective enhances the other. This logic is vital for getting along or creative synthesis. In Libra-land, every truth is balanced by an equal and opposite truth.

ARIES (March 21-April 19). Jealousy is your teacher. The person you envy is very much like you, but has excelled in an area you secretly know you could also excel. Let your feelings guide you toward taking a positive step.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20). The plan goes out the window, and that's a good thing. You'll be surprised and inspired to look at an old problem with new eyes. Roll with it, be spontaneous and surrender to the unexpected.

GEMINI (May 21-June 21). Put your feelers out there. You need more information about what's going on with the people around you. Knowing the inside scoop will not only give you an edge, it will make you more compassionate.

CANCER (June 22-July 22). You get the sneaking suspicion that you're falling behind in some regard. But the truth is, there is no "behind" and there is no "ahead" either. There's only where you are, and that is the perfect place for the moment.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). Discontented with work? An old friend will contact you, get you laughing and brighten your mood. The rest is up to you. A long walk, run or workout helps you get back to a good place.

TODAY'S BIRTHDAY (SEPTEMBER 29). You'll find yourself in a uniquely fabulous position. People want what you're offering and they are willing to wait for it. You'll make a dreamy business move in November and the bucks roll in. You clear some lingering bit of unpleasantness from your personal life in December. February brings travel. Scorpio and Aries adore you. Your lucky numbers are: 10, 3, 23, 28 and 16.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). There's no time to waste on stuff you're not sure about. Make quick decisions. Cut out the static in your life and in your own personality. Stick with what you know and be proud of it.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23). Take advantage of the chance to broaden your horizons. Whether it is a day trip, a new hobby, a potential friend or a spiritual retreat, you will come away from the experience with newfound enthusiasm.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21). You're swimming with the sharks now, and actually it's where you belong — you're one of them.
You're just as sharp and voraciously ready for success as anyone around you.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21). Acknowledge your accomplishments and hard work with a moment of reflection and a promise for reward. It's so important that you follow through on those you-on-you promises.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19). It only takes one thing that's not working to set you in a frustrated direction. Whether it's a mantra, a breathing exercise or a happy place you go in your mind, return to your spiritual touchstones to stay calm.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18). You and your colleagues have different ideas as to what constitutes a productive workday. You lead by setting a fine example and spending your time on only the endeavors that boost the bottom line.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20). A certain friend has been clinging to you lately via endless phone calls, and you find yourself needing some space. Don't assume your needy pal will fall apart if deprived of your wise and (usually) loving feedback.

ASTROLOGICAL QUESTIONS: I am an Aries and my ex is a Libra. We broke up without any valid reason but my own impulsivity. He is working abroad as of the moment, and I want to contact him. He may've moved on, but I am still thinking of him. What should I do?

Start by examining what's behind your impulsivity. Restless Aries can be perpetually dissatisfied by love, and wondering what (or who) else is out there, putting commitments to the test by violating the agreements of a relationship. This is a surefire way to lose Libra's interest. As the sign given cosmic governance to dispense truth, judgment and justice, the final judgment of this breakup may be a verdict with no ability to appeal. At any rate, prepare to state your case. Start with "I'm sorry," explain that you understand your role in contributing to the breakup, then ask if he's willing to give you a second chance. Libra can be the most patient and forgiving of partners — if they see a future in your relationship. And if he chooses to not get back together, the best thing to do is accept it and move on.

CELEBRITY PROFILES: Naomi Watts has said that she's terrified of working with her partner, Liev Schreiber, because he's such a good actor. She needn't worry about Liev showing her up, though, as many Librans often find that through working in twos they're better at what they do. With Venus in Scorpio, Naomi needs intensity, challenge and passion in her love life. Doing a steamy movie together would fit that bill!
