King Sun spends his final day in Libra received by the lord of the underworld, Pluto. During this meeting between light and dark, a generous pact is made surrounding the cycle of life. Soon the sun enters Scorpio. The dying leaves and barren trees remind us that everything ends to begin again. Let this deepen our desire to embrace life.
ARIES (March 21-April 19). You're learning not to start conversations that you probably won't be inclined to finish. Instead of asking whatever comes into your head, you'll find value in silent observation.
TAURUS (April 20-May 20). What is needed for your day is perseverance and strength. If you are engaged in a new endeavor or something you still feel insecure about, try to switch activities to something you're surer of.
GEMINI (May 21-June 21). Though the new ideas zinging around your world are good ones, listening to the old-school methodology will help keep things on track. Ask the most experienced people for input. Let the eldest person lead.
CANCER (June 22-July 22). Unite your forces. Whatever is split needs to be repaired before you can go forward. If another person is not amenable to putting differences aside, then work on your own internal harmony.
LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). You're so positive that what you want is right for you and best for everyone you'd stake everything on it. This kind of impenetrable resolve is not always favorable, but right now it is. Act.
TODAY'S BIRTHDAY (OCTOBER 21). You're learning not to worry about things. Over the next three weeks a perplexing personal problem is quickly solved. The more positive energy you flow to your financial life in November, the richer you get. The holidays are fortifying as you strengthen family bonds. Weddings happen in May. Sagittarius and Aquarius adore you. Your lucky numbers are: 4, 33, 31, 17 and 42.
VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). You've been known to downplay your strengths so that you don't irk co-workers prone to jealousy. Be yourself and be your best and you will naturally bring out the best in others.
LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23). There is some success in youthful folly. It's one of those cases when knowing a little and believing a lot can culminate in amazing results. Naively go forward and it will happen as you wish.
SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21). You are dealing with someone whose intentions may be good, and yet are still not in your best interest. Create emotional distance so you can objectively determine the move that is right for you.
SAGITTARIUS (Nov.
CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19). Your desire to forward your career, your personal life or both seem entwined in knowing a certain someone. It's perfectly fine to purposely show up where you know that someone will be.
AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18). You're almost never tempted to get deep and personal with people when it's clearly better to stay light and lovely. However, a provocative individual could have you breaking some of your own rules.
PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20). You're sorting through a completely unique set of circumstances and doing a fine job of it on your own. Those who say they've been in your position haven't. Continue in your fabulous way and know that it's right for you.
ASTROLOGICAL QUESTIONS: "My Sagittarian boyfriend (12/12/65) has a bit of an irresponsible streak. He's behind on a few important bills and keeps it from me until the last minute. He eventually is honest and reveals all, but always after it's gotten really bad. Is he ever going to grow up? I'm an Aries looking to settle down."
I'll preface my answer by saying that not all who wander are irresponsible. Your Sagittarius expends a lot of energy to just get by because of a handy relationship between Saturn, Jupiter and the sun in his chart. His pie-in-the-sky confidence and desire to enjoy life (Sun-Jupiter) is challenged by the part of himself (Saturn-sun) who must pay the bills. The stressful cycle of ups and downs you're witnessing is in character with who he is. Yet there's hope. Pressure cooker Saturn is pressuring him to grow up over the next few months (through February 2009). Meeting practical needs and having some fun, too, is a conflict for him, but there are ways to resolve this. Truthfully, I'm more concerned about the lying. If he's dishonest with you, he's not being honest with himself, which prevents real change from happening. Good luck!
CELEBRITY PROFILES: Viggo Mortensen is a Renaissance man with his Libran sun flanked by artistic Venus and psychic Neptune. He might even be channeling dead artists or tapping the creativity of the collective. Whatever his secret to success, he sticks with it, delivering award-winning performances and speaking a handful of languages — Viggo's poetry, paintings and photographs appear in a variety of books!
