5. Istanbul is the largest city in Turkey. What was its former name?

6. Terminus was once in what is now a U.S. state capital. Can you name the current capital?

7. What city now named in honor of a Union Civil War general was formerly Lakes Crossing, Nevada?

8. Portuguese visitors named this land Formosa. What is its current name?

9. What is the former name of Myanmar? The past name is still most often used in reference to the land.

10. What are the three largest islands that comprise the Virgin Islands?

1. Iran was once known as Persia.

2. Iraq bore that title for the country.

5. Istanbul was Constantinople. Now it's Istanbul not Constantinople.

6. Atlanta, Ga., was once titled Terminus.

7. Reno bears the name of Gen. Marcus Reno.

8. Formosa is now known as Taiwan or the Republic of China.

9. Myanmar is properly titled as Burma

10. With about 50 small islands, the three that comprise the largest part of the Virgin Islands are St. Croix, St. Johns and St. Thomas.
